Calling all map freaks!
Help create a detailed map of central campus that depicts building outlines, road, sidewalks, sculptures, trees and boulders. This unlabeled map will be used for an upcoming series of map navigation challenges open to all. But first, a multitude of details must be filled in on a base map created from aerial photos.
The day will start with a short introduction to the field checking process followed by time spent actually surveying a small section of the campus map. Participants will have their names added to the map’s creators list!
Workshop will be held at Kent Student Center, 3rd Floor, room #314.
10am to 2pm. Plan on spending three to four hours on this project.
Update:
Seven have already signed up to help field check our new map of the Kent State Main Campus! With a few more folks, we can complete the field checking in one day! No mapping experience necessary!

So we can have your map materials ready. We will start at 10 PM in the Student Center room 314. Free parking on Saturday! No experience necessary. Everything will be explained before you during our short time of instruction. Those that help will have their name added to the legend on the map! If it rains that day, we will still have the time of instruction. You can field check your map portion any time.
