NEOOC @ Flying Pigs XXIII

Recap

Several NEOOC members participated in the OCIN’s Flying Pigs XXIII national event held at 2 venues in Kentucky this year.

The event held March 22-24, 2019 at Camp McKee and Carter Caves included the 2018 Orienteering USA Master’s Nationals.

Kathy Jo Rufener (KJ) took top honors among the NEOOC participants by taking 2nd place in her category of the USA Master’s National at Carter Caves.  Also, she took 3rd place in the separate Friday A Event at Camp McKee for the same category.  Congratulations!  Well done!

Shelby Jones placed 3rd in the recreational Orange and 1st in the recreational White courses on Sunday.  Great job!

Also, participating in the weekend event were Todd Pownell, Bob Boltz, and Fred Mailey.
