Camp-O – Event Description
Join us at scenic and beautiful Camp Tuscazoar for a challenging Mini-Rogaine/Score Style course with a 2.5 hour time limit:
- Bushwhack and Trail run thru the vast camp including the newly Reclaimed Coal Mine area.
- Great practice for the Python Rogaine in September.
- 36 controls
- Beginners course available in the main camp area with some instruction
The camp map has been significantly updated in several areas including the central camp and the totally Reclaimed Coal Mine area which is no longer designated as a dangerous out-of-bound area. See what the Ohio Department of Natural Resources accomplished out there. Trails and ravines abound. And there is the old Zoarite Iron Mine area too! (surface Kidney mining technique)
Fees
Cost: Members: $5 per start, non-Members: $10 per start
A start is an individual or group starting a course together with one map (extra maps $3).
Logistics
- 10:00am – Registration open
- 10:30am – Map Distribution
- 11:00am – Mass Start with straggler starts until 11:30am
- 11:15am to 12:15pm – White (Beginners) course starts
- Control collection to start at 2:15pm.
