Recap and Results

NEOOC continued to celebrate our 50th anniversary year with our first competitive event in Stark Parks this year .   We’ve been here many times, but this was our first classic at QH in 4 years.

The streams were flowing, trails were sloppy, and the foilage is still manageable.   It is the first time we have had a control in the park center – at the house.  For many years, that house was out of bounds – it was still a residence.

The red course was particularly challenging – hats off to all those that made it around! Special congrats to Jonathan Boyer, Phil Wadsworth and John Pane for the faster 3 times on red.

Results are posted below and Livelox replays are also available. Use Livelox as a learning tool to see how other participants navigated the courses.

Our next few events will be an exciting mix.  Saturday, May 16, NEO AdventureFest in downtown Cuyahoga Falls, and  Orienteering 101 at Richfield Heritage, May 17.   The 2026 version of Bob Boltz’s FallsQuest will be May 24 in Cuyahoga Falls.  It is an urban seek/quest that you can do on foot or bike. Great for family fun, training, or introducing new people to orienteering! It’s a different type of treasure hunt and a lot of fun!!

Hope you had fun and thanks for coming to Quail Hollow!
