Kent State Score Recap.
We continued our 50th anniversary year celebration with a late afternoon score event on the Kent State campus. Bob Turanchik’s course had controls located through out the entire campus, some out in the open, others tuck into nooks and crannies, and one under the baseball bleachers. Check out the map and the controls below.
Staring at the Beverly J. Warren Student Recreation and Wellness Center, over 50 orienteers (as individuals or teams) started the 90 minute score course. Bob’s course had 29 controls with a total possible score of 820. Sandra Albro score the most points at 780 and a time of 1:29:43, 17 seconds to spare. Adam Simpson (680) and Phillip Wadsworth (670) rounded out the top three. All teams made the finish on time – that’s probably a first for the club in long time.
