The aMAIZEing Night-O! | Near Peninsula, Ohio | Saturday, October 25th

• Event format will be Classic Orienteering– each control must be visited in the order designated by the course chosen
• Place:  Corn maze at Szalay’s Farm and Market, 4563 Riverview Rd, Peninsula, 44264
  
• The evening of the 25th will only have a setting crescent MOON, so be sure to bring your headlamp or flashlight with fresh batteries.  If you become hopelessly lost, sink to the ground a have a good cry.  We will probably find you when we collect the control flags. It’s OK to ask small children for directions.
• Dates and Times:  Saturday, October 25, 2025.  Check-ins starting at 7:30 pm, with staggered starts beginning immediately after you’re checked in.  Last start at 8:10pm
• Check-in will be near the barn adjacent to the entrance to the corn maze.
• SportIdent ePunch equipment and FULL SIZE control flags will be in use
• Due to the small area Livelox will not be active, although it might have been amusing!  Results will be posted for both Dragon courses.

Courses

Three courses will be available: do one, two or all three!

• Dragon Claw – Start at the Entrance – ~1 km – 15 controls
• Dragon Fire – Start at the Exit – ~1 km – 15 controls
• For fun – find and admire the eight numbered pumpkins located at the creepy, scary displays hidden in the maze.

This is intended to be a fun event – with focus on the family/kids.

Preregistration and Cost

Preregistration is CLOSED, please use Walk-up registration.

• Preregistrations, closing 9pm, Thursday, October 23, 2025
  • $10 per Start* for Everyone ($1.00 offset for PayPal fees)
  • Everyone select Member fee and put 0 for the Member #
  • Everyone get a map for each course, leave Number of Map = 1
• Walk-up Starts on Saturday, October 25th 7:30pm to 8:00pm
  • $15 per Start* for All (Member or non-Member)

* A Start is an individual or group (max of two, due to narrow maze passages) navigating the course together.  One map is included per person.
