  • Event format will be Classic Orienteering– each control must be visited in the order designated by the course chosen
  • Place:  Quail Hollow Stark County Park, near Hartville, OH
  • Dates and Times:  Sunday, June 5, 2022 – Check-in will be at the Gazebo near the Nature Center Building (follow the signage near the parking lots) Check-ins starting at 10:30am and starts until 12:30pm
  • For the Season Championship, the participants’ choice of Course will determine the skill class that they will compete in.
  • There will be no water stops on the course, so runners should bring their own water supplies.
  • SportIdent ePunch equipment and FULL SIZE control flags will be in use
  • Livelox will be active for this event.  Sign in to the Livelox app on your smartphone to record your route directly to Livelox, or record it on your Garmin or other GPS tracker, and upload it to Livelox later.

Courses

Five courses will be available:

  • White – Beginner/Novice – 2.0km – 7 controls
  • Yellow – Advanced Beginner – 3.3km – 7 controls
  • Orange – Intermediate – 4.5km – 9 controls
  • Green – Advanced Shorter Course – 5.2km – 10 controls
  • Red – Advanced Longer Course – 6.3km – 11 controls

For the Season Championship, results achieved in this event will be mapped into the Season Championship skill categories (Male and Female) as follows:

  • White and Yellow results will go to the Beginner skill categories
  • Orange results will go to the Intermediate skill categories
  • Green and Red results will go to the Advanced skill categories

Preregistration and Cost

  • Preregistrations, closing 12 noon, Friday, June 3, 2022
    • $10 per Start* for Members of NEOOC or O-USA affiliated clubs
    • $15 per Start* for non-Members
  • Walk-up Starts on Sunday, June 5th 11:00am to 12:30pm
    • $20 per Start* (Member or non-Member)

* A Start is an individual or group navigating the course together.  One map is included per paid start.  Additional maps, up to two, are $3 each.

You can also renew your NEOOC membership (or join) on the preregistration form.  After submitting your information on the registration form, you will be directed to the PayPal website.  A small offset is added to compensate for PayPal fees.
