Join us for our return to the Student Rec Center and the beautiful Kent State Campus.

Details
  • Event format will be Score Orienteering –  The challenge of this format is to collect the most points possible within the 90-minute time window, by visiting the controls that you choose.  Stay out as long as you want, but there are severe penalties for each minute that you are late getting back to the finish.
  • Place:  Kent State Campus – Kent State Recreation Center
  • Dates and Times:  Sunday, October 18th, 2025 – Check-in will be back at the Kent State Recreation Center ( where we had it prior to last year’s event, which was at the Student Center).  Check-ins starting at 3:45pm. Maps distributed at 4:15pm. Mass start at 4:30pm.  Course will close at 6:00pm.
  • There will be no water stops on the course, so runners should bring their own water supplies.
  • SportIdent ePunch equipment and FULL SIZE control flags will be in use.  If using your own SI stick, it must be SI-8 or newer. MeOS can only read SI-Card 8 or newer.   If your model is older, you’ll need to borrow a club card.  Controls will not be in beacon mode.
  • Livelox will be active for this event.  Sign in to the Livelox app on your smartphone to record your route directly to Livelox, or record it on your Garmin or other GPS tracker, and upload it to Livelox later.

Maps will be 1:6000, 2.5m contours.  Bob Boltz 2021, Southern section 2022.

Preregistration and Cost
  • Preregistrations, closing 9pm, Thursday, October 15th
    • Per Team, $10 per Start* for Members of NEOOC or O-USA affiliated clubs
    • Per Team, $15 per Start* for non-Members
  • Walk-up Starts on Sunday, October 18, subject to map availability
    • $20 per Start* (Member or non-Member)

* A Start is an individual or group navigating the course together.  One map is included per paid start.  Additional maps, up to two, are $3 each.

You can also renew your NEOOC membership (or join) on the preregistration form.  Any membership purchased now lasts until the end of 2027! 

After submitting your information on the registration form, you will be directed to the PayPal website.  A small offset is added to compensate for PayPal fees.
