Overview

  • Format – Score O’ scavenger hunt with a mix of manual punch controls (within park) and quiz card for community street locations
  • At: Exploration Gateway Shelter, Sippo Lake Park
  • When: Sunday, September 3rd
    • Check-in starting at 10:30am
    • Mass start at approximately 11:15am

Event Details

  • There is a 3-hour time limit for this event.
  • Participants who are late to the finish will earn a deduction of 10 points per each started minute  that they are late.
  • FULL SIZE control flags with manual punches will be used for in-woods controls.  At control locations with no flags, you will need to answer a question on quiz card that will be provided about a unique feature at the location to prove that you visited it.
  • Livelox will be active for this event.  Sign in to the Livelox app on your smartphone to record your route directly to Livelox, or record it on your Garmin or other GPS tracker, and upload it to Livelox later.

Preregistration and Cost

  • Preregistrations, closing 9:00pm, Friday, September 1, 2023
    • $10 per Start* for Members of NEOOC or O-USA affiliated clubs
    • $15 per Start* for non-Members
  • Walk-up Starts accepted on Sunday, September 3 from 10:30 to 11:00am, subject to map availability
    • $20 per Start* (Member or non-Member)

* A Start is an individual or group navigating the course together.  One map is included per paid start.  Additional maps, up to two, are $3 each.
