Details
- Event format will be Classic Orienteering– each control must be visited in the order designated by the course chosen
- Place: Corn maze at Szalay’s Farm and Market, 4563 Riverview Rd, Peninsula, 44264
- Yes, this is the same corn maze that was prominently featured in the recent 10-hour Python Adventure Race
- Dates and Times: Saturday, October 29, 2022. Check-ins starting at 7:30pm, with staggered starts beginning immediately after you’re checked in. Last start at 8:00pm
- Check-in will be near the barn adjacent to the entrance to the corn maze.
- SportIdent ePunch equipment and FULL SIZE control flags will be in use
- (TBD) Livelox will be active for this event. Sign in to the Livelox app on your smartphone to record your route directly to Livelox, or record it on your Garmin or other GPS tracker, and upload it to Livelox later.

Courses
Two courses will be available:
- Short – simple loop route around maze – ~0.5km – 10 controls
- Long – complex, back-and-forth route thru the maze – ~1.5km – 14 controls
- If you want more – do your course again in reverse order or try the other course if we have extra maps!
This is intended to be a fun event – with focus on the family/kids – and will not count towards the 2022 Season Championship
Preregistration and Cost
- Preregistrations, closing 12 noon, Friday, October 28, 2022
- $10 per Start* for All ($1.00 offset for PayPal fees)
- Walk-up Starts on Saturday, October 29th 7:30apm to 8:00pm
- $15 per Start* for All (Member or non-Member)
* A Start is an individual or group (max of two, due to narrow maze passages) navigating the course together. One map is included per paid start. Additional maps, up to one, are $1 each.
You can also renew your NEOOC membership (or join) on the preregistration form. After submitting your information on the registration form, you will be directed to the PayPal website. A small offset is added to compensate for PayPal fees.
