Recap and Results

NEOOC continues to celebrate our 50th anniversary with a vintage event.  We welcomed over 100 excited orienteers to Sunday’s black and white classic.  Everyone enjoyed great weather and rising temperatures as they traversed Bob Botlz designed courses on a hybrid map. Bob created a throw back map that combined a section mapped in 2024 (upgraded for the PAMG games) and a section mapped in 1990.  If you didn’t guess, the 1990 portion was black and white. Check out the hybrid maps and courses, Red Scare, Green Machine, Mellow Yellow, Orange Juice

Walker Ziewitz was first to clear the red course, Dan Vaughn first on orange, Randy Mitchell cleared green fastest, and Emily Taylor had the best time on yellow.  The white course was an untimed throwback course using pin punches. Both Ariel and Eric complete the full course – 12 controls and 2 km. – good job!

We hope everyone enjoyed this vintage event.
