- Congratulations to all participants for collectively clearing all of the courses! There were no controls that were missed or punched out of order on any of the courses. Great start on Bob Boltz’s challenge to see who can collect the most controls in 2023 – nothing left on the table in this event!
- Thanks to Marcia Mauter and her friend for alerting us to a hazard (hole and low-to-the-ground wire) that they found near control 52, and for their efforts in marking its presence with one of our signs. We’re also thankful that no one wandered into either, possibly due to the sign that was placed there.
- Apologies to John Helderman and his teammate for finding the last control on the Red course already pulled at the time of their arrival. This was resolved by giving them the average 17-18 leg split time of the other 7 Red runners, not including the fastest and slowest of those splits.
- * A new capability provided by the MeOS event admin software is the ability to view results live on the internet as runners download their sticks after a run. Obviously, this relies on the ability to connect to the internet, either by wi-fi or phone hotspot. Neither were available on Saturday, but when we are able to get a connection at future events, we plan to have this service available.
