- Event format will be Score-O – each control is assigned a point value, with more points assigned to controls which are more difficult to find and/or farther away from the Start/Finish. The runner’s goal is to amass as many points as possible within the 2-hour time limit. Which controls to visit, and in which order, is completely up to the runner’s choice. Plan carefully and don’t be late to the finish, as points will be deducted for every minute that the runner goes over the 2-hour time limit.
- Place: Oak Hill Trailhead in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, near Peninsula, OH
- Dates and Times: Saturday, June 25, 2022 – Check-in will be at the Trailhead Picnic area (follow signage East from Oak Hill Road) starting at 10:30am, with mass start at 11:30am.
- For the Season Championship, runners will need to designate during registration the skill class that they would like to compete in.
- There will be no water stops on the course, so runners should bring their own water supplies, sufficient for 2-hours.
- SportIdent ePunch equipment and FULL SIZE control flags will be in use
- Livelox will be active for this event. Sign in to the Livelox app on your smartphone to record your route directly to Livelox, or record it on your Garmin or other GPS tracker, and upload it to Livelox later.

- $10 per Start* for Members of NEOOC or O-USA affiliated clubs
- $15 per Start* for non-Members
- Walk-up Starts on Sunday, June 25th, 2022 from 10:30am to 11:30am
- $20 per Start* (Member or non-Member)
* A Start is an individual or group navigating the course together. One map is included per paid start. Additional maps, up to two, are $3 each.
You can also renew your NEOOC membership (or join) on the preregistration form. After submitting your information on the registration form, you will be directed to the PayPal website. A small offset is added to compensate for PayPal fees.

Special Livelox Request
We have been asked by CVNP Natural Resources if we would help them in their studies of traffic impact on micro-habitats in various areas of the park by providing them with any route recordings from our upcoming Oak Hill event that our participants might be able to provide.
In response to their request, we would like to encourage as many participants as possible to record their runs at Oak Hill, and upload them to Livelox. We’re building a solid base of Livelox users – the last three events we’ve had 35%, 65% and 48% of all participants upload a route to Livelox – but the heavy users have understandably been skewed to the more advanced runners.
To help with this request we would like to encourage more of our Intermediate- and Beginner-level orienteers to record their routes and upload them to Livelox. You can do this with a free app on your smartphone! For iPhones visit Livelox Recorder on the App Store, and for Android phones, visit Livelox Recorder in Google Play.
