Details

  • Once again, we are sorry to have had to postpone the Python again.  But we hope that you will join us for the Night Crawler-O, an event featuring a 3 hour Score course.  Plus a family friendly Glow Worm course.
  • We have toned down the challenge of the Python by adding more recreational and family friendly controls but upped the fun by making it a Night O’.
  • In Score Orienteering, the choice of which controls you find, and in what order, is entirely up to you.  However, you must complete your run by a specified time to avoid penalties.
  • Place: Camp Manatoc in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park.  34 Controls on the Night Crawler course will be set in the areas of Camps Manatoc and Camp Butler. With controls extending into the Kendall Lake area for the more ambitious.
  • No White course will be provided.  However, there will be the Glow Worm, a shorter Novice course of 10 to 15 controls, all within the Camp Manatoc “downtown” area.

Registration and Cost

One Start is $11 if you preregister, and includes one map.  Additional maps, up to two, are $3 each. This is our normal member event fee ($10), with a small offset added to compensate for PayPal fees.  To simplify payments, the same fee is being charged to members and non-members.  A Start is a individual or group navigating the course together.

After submitting your information on the registration form, you will be directed to the PayPal website.  Use the PayPal pull down to select the number of maps.

We will also be accepting walk up registrations on the day of the event, subject to map availability.  Cost for walk up registration will be $20 (cash or check made out to NEOOC) per Start.
