Overview
Join us at scenic and beautiful Camp Tuscazoar for a challenging Score Style course with a 3-hour time limit:
- Bushwhack and Trail run thru the vast camp including the newly Reclaimed Coal Mine area.
- Great practice for the Camp Tuscazoar Adventure Race in July.
- Course design by NEOOC’s mapping master, Bob Boltz! Bob knows Camp Tuscazoar like the back of his hand; come see what he has in store for you. 32 controls!
- Beginners will be happy with the somewhat easier controls that will be located in the main camp area. Some instruction will be available.
Details
- Event format will be Score-O – each control is assigned a point value, with more points assigned to controls which are more difficult to find and/or farther away from the Start/Finish. The runner’s goal is to amass as many points as possible within the 3-hour time limit. Which controls to visit, and in which order, is completely up to the runner’s choice. Plan carefully and don’t be late to the finish, as points will be deducted for every minute that the runner goes over the 3-hour time limit.
- Place: Camp Tuscazoar, Dover, OH
- Dates and Times: Sunday, May 22, 2022 – Check-in will be at the Hoover Lodge (follow signage Northwest from the parking lot, through the Stockade) starting at 10:30am, with mass start at 11:30am.
- For the Season Championship, runners will need to designate during registration the skill class that they would like to compete in.
- There will be no water stops on the course, so runners should bring their own water supplies, sufficient for 3 hours.
- SportIdent ePunch equipment and FULL SIZE control flags will be in use
- Livelox will be active for this event. Sign in to the Livelox app on your smartphone to record your route directly to Livelox, or record it on your Garmin or other GPS tracker, and upload it to Livelox later.

- $10 per Start* for Members of NEOOC or O-USA affiliated clubs
- $15 per Start* for non-Members
- Walk-up Starts on Sunday, May 22, 2022 from 10:30am to 11:30am

* A Start is an individual or group navigating the course together. One map is included per paid start. Additional maps, up to two, are $3 each.
You can also renew your NEOOC membership (or join) on the preregistration form. After submitting your information on the registration form, you will be directed to the PayPal website. A small offset is added to compensate for PayPal fees.
Note: Preregistration has closed, but as some of you may have been reluctant to preregister for this event due to the uncertainty around the long-term weather forecast for Sunday, we will honor walk-ups at this event at the preregistration rates of $10 member / $15 non-member rates.”
