2024 Tuscazoar Adventure Weekend | 4-hour Mini-rogaine | Saturday, May 25th

This Event is Cancelled

We regret to inform you that we must cancel this event.

The Camp Tuscazoar Foundation (CTF) was very recently informed that the Tuscarawas County Commissioners have approved Major Construction along the abandoned Rail Road bed and adjacent Towpath trail areas that are along the Tuscaroras River.  Both are part of the camp’s trail systems and will be closed to the public prior to the Tuscazoar Adventure Weekend.

After safety evaluation and other concerns regarding this situation by both CTF and NEOOC, both Saturday and Sunday events at the camp are cancelled. This construction may affect other parts of the camp as well, as construction equipment is moved around, and as other trail closures and detours are established throughout the various camp areas.

NEOOC will process a full refund of all fees paid shortly.

We look forward to rescheduling this event for 2025. Please watch for future updates.

Overview

As part of Camp Tuscazoar Foundation’s 2024 Tuscazoar Adventure Weekend, NEOOC is pleased to host a Mini-Rogaine/Score at the scenic, beautiful and challenging Camp Tuscazoar.

This format will provide many controls worth various point values across the entirety of the Camp Tuscazoar property.  Each participant’s goal is to accumulate as many points as possible by finding as many controls as they can within the allotted time of 4 hours.  Controls can be found in the order of the participant’s choosing, but it’s important for each participant to plan their strategy carefully to insure that they are not late to the finish, as there is a point penalty for each minute that they are over the alloted time.

Beginners will be happy with the somewhat easier controls that will be located in the main camp area.  Some instruction will be available.

Registered 2024 World Orienteering Week event!
