2023 Allardale Snow Score
Overview
Come join us as we return to the scene of last year’s snow-tastic event at Allardale Park!
This year, we are planning a 2-hour score course for your pleasure. The challenge of this format is to collect the most points possible within the 2-hour time window, by visiting the controls that you choose. Stay out as long as you want, but there are severe penalties for each minute that you are late getting back to the finish. There will also be a shorter course with controls closer to the Lodge to satisfy the less experienced orienteers.
We will also be presenting the class winners of the 2022 Season Championship with their awards shortly before the mass start, so plan to attend to honor their achievement.

- Format: Score-O, 2-hours, 10 point penalty for each minute late to finish

Courses
Two courses will be available:
- Short Score
- Full Score
For the Season Championship…
- Participants running the Short Score course will have their results mapped into the Beginner skill category.
- Participants running the Full Score course need to choose in preregistration whether they want their results mapped to the Intermediate or Advanced skill category
Preregistration and Cost
- Preregistrations, closing 9:00pm, February 9, 2023
- $10 per Start* for Members of NEOOC or O-USA affiliated clubs
- $15 per Start* for non-Members
- Walk-up Starts may register at the course on Saturday, February 11th from 10:00am – 10:45am, subject to map availability
- $20 per Start* (Member or non-Member)
* A Start is an individual or group navigating the course together. One map is included per paid start. Additional maps, up to two, are $3 each.
