The weather cooperated nicely with minimal winds and clear skies, but with a haunting chill. About 30 teams or individuals had starts thru out the evening including two local scout troops.
The Shadow Stalker course was easily dominated by Tim Feasor. Followed by Team Johnson who were camping and star gazing at Ledgewood, the nearby Girl Scout Camp. The Crypt Keeper Five were a strong third.
The Wraith course was decided by a mere 39 seconds. The MooBears took first followed closely by Mike Sabeh. Alex Giaroini was slightly behind them at third. Honorable mention goes to BSA Troop 810 who found all 13 controls!
The most competitive course was the advanced Huntsman course. The father-son Selig Team took first place with an astonishing time of 38:57. Second and third were Todd Pownell and Dave Kostansek, respectively.
In the Upside-Down, John and Eric did the Huntsman course in reverse, in an apparent grudge match. (Probably not, but it sure does sound good!)
Several controls were challenging. Control 49 was difficult to find when approached from the east or northeast. And Control 72 was missed by a few since it was fairly close to another control on a different feature type, which they punched instead. In the dark everything looks different!
